Refund Policy (Yarra Ranges Taxi)
Yarra Ranges Taxi provides pre-booked transport services. This Refund Policy explains when a refund may apply.
1) Upfront payments and deposits
Some bookings may require an upfront payment or deposit (for example: airport transfers, long-distance trips, wedding transport, group bookings, or special vehicle requests). Any payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking.
2) Customer cancellations
Refund eligibility depends on how much notice you give:

More than 24 hours before pickup: Full refund of any prepaid amount (minus any non-refundable processing fee charged by the payment provider, if applicable).

Between 12 and 24 hours before pickup: Partial refund may apply (e.g., up to 50%), depending on driver allocation and costs already incurred.

Less than 12 hours before pickup / No-show: no refund (including if the passenger cannot be contacted, is not ready, or does not arrive at the pickup location).
If your booking includes wedding/event transport, long-distance travel, or special vehicle requests, a different cancellation window may apply and will be stated at the time of booking.
3) Driver delays, service issues, and cancellations by us

If we cancel your booking and cannot provide a suitable alternative, you will receive a full refund of any prepaid amount.

If a service issue occurs (e.g., significant delay caused by us), we may offer a partial refund or credit, assessed on a case-by-case.
4) Flight delays (airport Trnasfers)
For arrivals, we can track flights when details are provided. Flight delays are not considered a customer cancellation. However:

If you change pickup time significantly, additional fees may apply (e.g., extended waiting time).

If we cannot contact you after landing/arrival within a reasonable time, it may be treated as a no-show.
5) Waiting time and extra stops
Quotes may include a set pickup time and reasonable loading time. Additional charges may apply for:

extended waiting time,

extra stops or route changes requested after booking,

changes to passenger or luggage requirements.
These charges are generally not refundable once the service has been provided.
6) Parcel delivery
For parcel delivery:

If pickup has not occurred, cancellation may be eligible for a refund based on the notice period.

If pickup has occurred, refunds are generally not available unless the issue was caused by us.
7) How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Payment processing times vary by provider and bank. Any payment-provider fees may be deducted where applicable.
